You may have heard about it or seen it on social media platforms as it has gone viral over the last year. Fascia blasting is a term that usually coincides with the use of a FasciaBlaster tool created by Ashley Black. It is a plastic tool with a handle and claw-like attachment that you use to rub over the area you wish to work on.
The idea behind it is manually break up the fascia, the sheath of connective tissue that is below your skin and surrounds muscles and organs. The goal is to release and soften the fascia to reduce pain, smooth skin and increase mobility.
